• If wet ground, place bivvy on folded paracord or small branches to stay off mud. Direct earth contact pulls heat fast.

Q: Can I stay alive in this alone in freezing temps? Alone = marginal. With other layers (clothes, mylar blankets) and some movement to stay awake, yes for a night. No insulation below you = rapid heat loss to ground.

Q: Does the plastic coating sweat? Yes, condensation builds inside if sealed tight. Your breath + body heat = moisture. Venting is critical—leave top open 2–3 finger widths.

Q: How durable is it? Aluminized coating is fragile—sharp objects tear it. Handle carefully. If torn, repair with tape or sacrifice it as tarp patch.
