Built to last

Handles are riveted and can loosen with repeated fire deployment; inspect rivets before each trip. Nesting creates pressure points that can dent lighter aluminum over time. If using daily over fire, expect handles to discolor and slight warping after 20+ fires. Not dishwasher safe (high heat loosens handles); hand wash and dry after each use. Won't survive drop from height onto rock—aluminum bends, steel dents.

• Use gripping cloth or stick to handle hot pots—handles conduct heat quickly over flames.
• Prevent handle loosening: inspect rivets weekly during extended deployment. If rivets rattle, the handle is failing and the pot may slip.

Q: Can I use this directly on open flame? A: Yes. Place pots on rocks or a grate to distribute heat. Avoid direct contact with hardest flames if the pan is thin aluminum (thicker stainless tolerates it better).

Q: What's the volume capacity? A: Typical mess kit pots hold 1–2 liters. Check CJ specs for your variant—volume varies by size.

Q: Can I cook for more than 2 people? A: Difficult with one kit. Multiple fires require multiple kits, or plan sequential meals and clean/reuse between groups.
