Q: Is this enough to survive solo in wild? For 24 hours, yes. Signaling and basic fire/shelter. Beyond that, you need water, food, and location knowledge.

Q: What if no one comes to the flare signal? Whistle is audible ~1 mile in good conditions. Mirror is visible ~10 miles in direct sun. Combination increases odds.

Q: Can I use the items individually in other contexts? Yes. The compass is field-grade, scissors are full-size, cordage is usable paracord. Take what you need; kit holds the rest.
