• Keep one clipped to driver seat headrest, one in glove compartment. Both must be instantly reachable in panic.
• Practice striking a glass in a safe setting—the motion is sharp downward from shoulder, not poking. Incorrect angle won't work.
• The carbide point will chip or wear over years. If you've used it in real emergency, replace it.

Q: Will this break a windshield? No. Windshields are laminated (glass + plastic layer). It will break tempered side/rear windows, which are the correct escape route in most cars anyway.

Q: How fast does it work? Strike and window shatters in 1–2 seconds. Most effective if struck at corner or edge of window, not center.

Q: Can the seatbelt cutter harm the person wearing it? It's a wire edge, not a sharp blade. If seatbelt is twisted around limb, cutting the fabric is safer than cutting skin. Still requires conscious control—don't use in panic.
